Kim Jong-Il’s<\/strong> apparent successor son Kim Jong-Un<\/strong> has a challenge ahead of him if he thinks he’ll be leading the North Korean country. <\/p>\n

According to a new report<\/a>, Kim Jong-Il<\/strong> was a huge playboy in his day and fathered Kim Jong-Un<\/strong> with a mistress.<\/p>\n

Kim Jong Il<\/strong> in his younger days enjoyed an international reputation as a playboy, surrounding himself with his \u201cJoy Brigades,\u201d hand-picked young women who were given the job of keeping the heir to the North Korean leadership happy.<\/p>\n

"Kim Jong Un\u2019s pedigree is going to be his greatest challenge, because his mother, Ko Young Hee, was a Japanese-born Korean who was never officially married to Kim Jong Il," said James Person, program associate at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington.<\/p>\n

"Ko Young Hee did not have an official title in North Korea. She was just Kim Jong Il\u2019s concubine," Person said.<\/p>\n
