Former US President George W. Bush<\/strong> has spoken out about North Korea, urging the five nations involved in nuclear disarmament talks with North Korea to ensure it ends its nuclear weapons program.

\nMr Bush<\/strong> speaking to a group of business and economic leaders in South Korea, said the United States, South Korea, China, Japan and Russia must make it clear that North Korea should stop rebelling against United Nations resolutions.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr Bush said North Korea must open itself up to the verification process to ensure nuclear disarmament has taken place in the country.<\/p>\n

The United Nations imposed tough new sanctions on North Korea in June after the last round of six-party disarmament talks in December ended in an impasse over how the North’s denuclearization would be verified.<\/p>\n

George Bush is in South Korea to speak about the global economy and to promote measures against trade protectionism and the South Korea-US free trade agreement.<\/strong>
