See her latest work.<\/p>\n<p>From the artist, <em>&quot;For \u201crice myself\u201d, I covered my head, neck and shoulder with rice and rice noodle. By covering myself, I become invisible and sealed from society, I deform myself but build another form. Growing up in Japan, rice has always been an integral part of my culture.  However, since moving to the US, I have slowly felt the prominence of this precious grain fade from my life.<\/p>\n<p><\/em><br \/>\n<em>This phenomenon prompted me to delve into my latest works, \u201cRice Art,\u201d in which I encapsulate myself \u2013and my form- in rice.
