It was Peace, Love and Flowers on Saturday night at Sir Ivan Wilzig\u2019s medieval castle in Water Mill. Celebrating the 40th year of Woodstock, CASTLESTOCK 2009 brought hippie love to benefit Sir Ivan Wilzig\u2019s new charity, Peaceman Foundation, which fights hate crime. <\/p>\n
Dubbed as the \u201cPlayboy Mansion of the East coast,\u201d Sir Ivan Wilzig is known as a reality star, musician, and hedonistic party legend who throws an annual over the top lavish soiree. On the front lawn, Woodstock was playing on large movie screens with dozens of floral blankets laid out amidst lawn chairs, beds, giant rabbit chairs, Japanese lanterns and larger than life Gerbera daisies. <\/p>\n
As guests entered inside, we were greeted by Sir Ivan\u2019s flamboyant and beautiful girlfriend, Mina Otsuka who designed and sewed all of the performers\u2019 costumes of white bikinis with feathers and crystals. As the evening progressed she resembled a white butterfly dancing with another girl on top of the pool.<\/p>\n
Later on, guests were treated to Wilzig\u2019s performance of “Kumbaya”, which he describes as \u201cTechnippi,\u201d a mixture of hippy and techno.<\/i><\/p>\n
Here Asiancemagazine catches up with Mina.<\/b> <\/p>\nWhat makes Castlestock the \u201cParty of the Century\u201d?<\/h3>\n
Mina:<\/b> Well first of all its Sir Ivan\u2019s party and he is the party king of the world. The event is made to help battle hate crime, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and also celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock.<\/p>\nHow would you describe your personal style?<\/h3>\n
Mina:<\/b> My personal style is \u201cMina-tic\u201d (like romantic). What I\u2019m wearing tonight I made myself and sewed all of the beads and feathers. A lot of dresses I wear, I created myself I create the designs, make the patterns and I cut and sew them.\u201d
\nAt the end of the night, the revelers would agree that Sir Ivan really did live up to his reputation of \u201cParty King of the World.\u201d<\/p>\n
