Last October, Katherine Heigl addressed<\/a> rumors that she was planning on adopting from Korea. <\/strong>She said, "It’s definitely something we’ve talked about and want to do."<\/p>\n

Katherine’s sister is adopted from Korea<\/strong> and she thinks it’s a great way of honoring her sister. "I want to honor her and her part in my life," she says. "I think adoption is a hugely important thing."<\/p>\n

It’s now confirmed<\/a> that Katherine and her husband, Josh Kelley, will be adopting a baby from Korea.<\/strong> In a sit-down with Ellen DeGeneres, airing today on Ellen, Heigl says that their child is from Korea and will be 10 months old at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

"She was actually born the day before me in November which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign," Heigl said. "I realized just recently that I basically forfeited my birthday for the rest of my life."<\/p>\n
