\nDartmouth College<\/strong> is the first Ivy League school to inaugurate an Asian-American president. Jim Yong Kim<\/strong> told students at his ceremony Tuesday that they will achieve far greater success than he has as a leader in the global fight against HIV\/AIDS and other diseases.<\/p>\n Kim took over the Dartmouth presidency from James Wright in July.<\/p>\n He is a former director of the World Health Organization’s HIV\/AIDS department.<\/p>\n Kim helped found Partners in Health to support health programs in poor communities worldwide.<\/p>\n He comes to Dartmouth from Harvard Medical School, where he was chairman of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine.<\/p>\n Representatives from close to 130 colleges and universities also attended the inauguration.<\/strong> Love all these Asian Americans making history everyday.
