Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao on Sunday broke his silence on his rumored affair with actress Krista Ranillo – an issue that overshadowed his November 15 victory against Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n
Interviewed by GMA News, Pacquiao said he and Krista are just “good friends.”<\/p>\n
Yeah ok!<\/b><\/p>\n
“Matalik na magkaibigan talaga kami (We’re just good friends),” he said.<\/p>\n
Krista will star in Pacquiao’s next movie, Wapakman.<\/p>\n
In the interview, Pacquiao apologized to Krista and her family for the issue, which has been circulating on gossip publications and on the Internet.<\/p>\n
“Pasensiya na at hindi ko naman ginusto na masira yung pamilya ninyo. Dumating lang talaga yung panahon na… nagkaroon ng isyu-isyu (I’m sorry that you got dragged into this issue, which has been blown out of proportion),” he said.<\/p>\n

Krista and her family flew to the US to watch Pacquiao’s match at the MGM Grand.<\/p>\n

The rumored affair has reportedly affected Pacquiao’s relationship with wife, Jinkee.<\/p>\n
News that Pacquiao’s marriage is on the rocks spread after Jinkee was caught on camera getting emotional during a Thanksgiving Mass in the US. The priest then was delivering a sermon about the importance of love in a family.<\/p>\n
Both Pacquiao and Jinkee arrived last Friday. Krista and her family, meanwhile, are still in the US as of Sunday. – GMANews.TV<\/p>\n
