After stunning the world with the controversial video for her single, “Born Free,”<\/strong> rapper M.I.A<\/strong> is back with the first official single off of her new album, titled “XXXO”!<\/strong> Soooo good! You know this song will take her to the top of the charts!<\/p>\n

M.I.A <\/strong>is planning to drop the new album very soon and her producer, Diplo, has confirmed that the release is set to hit stores in July. <\/p>\n

“[The album] is cool. I think that she’s just wrapping up the mixing and stuff. I was in New York on Thursday, before I came here, I was mixing down the last single for it,” the album’s producer, Diplo, told MTV.com. “It’s a big, kinda giant-sounding record. … It sounds like some Wall of Sound, Motown kind of thing. It’s just me and Switch producing the album, and Blaqstarr did a couple of tracks, too. There are no surprise producers. No guest stars. It’s just her on it. She’s got a good attitude about it. She’s excited for people to hear it,” he added.
