This year\u2019s top honor at the 2010 \u201cOutstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business\u201d Awards was presented to 35 year old Chinese American, Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com<\/strong>. The Pinnacle Award recognizes an individual who has reached the top of his or her professional field. Zappos.com, which sells shoes and clothing online, was established by Mr. Hsieh and a partner in 1999 and in July 2009, the company was acquired by Amazon.com for $887.9million, the biggest acquisition in its history<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

This annual event, held at The Hilton New York on June 11th, organized by the Asian American Business Development Center, and now in its ninth year, is the only forum to highlighting the achievements of Asian Americans across the United States. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The awards recipients represented a microcosm of the best of Asian American business owners, professionals and corporate executives<\/strong> who are engaged in a wide range of business interests.<\/p>\n
