{"id":6231,"date":"2010-08-24T05:08:47","date_gmt":"2010-08-24T05:08:47","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-08-24T05:08:47","modified_gmt":"2010-08-24T05:08:47","slug":"En-Karma-brings-the-Bhangra-into-2010-","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=6231","title":{"rendered":"En Karma brings the Bhangra into 2010!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You are never going to want to dance without them ever again. <strong>En Karma<\/strong>, Canada\u2019s premier live Bhangra group has released the latest video off of their self-titled album, \u2018Tere Bina Ni Nachna,\u201d featuring H-Dhami. <strong>They introduced Bhangra to the world at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>En Karma<\/strong> was formed by six friends who shared a passion for Bhangra music and who connected over a need to flex their creativity.  Taking influences from reggae, R&#038;B and rock n\u2019 roll, but remaining fully rooted in traditional Bhangra, En Karma, made up of a dholak player, dholi, bass player, keyboardist, drummer and vocalist, have made the art of the pindh (village) accessible to global audiences.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat sets us apart is that we are live! We play our own instruments on our tracks.  En Karma is the newest full band entity to come out in probably 15 years, and let alone having the uniqueness of being the only live act in North America. We have a vision of bringing true live Bhangra to the forefront of the stagnant Bhangra scene.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Check out the song!
