{"id":6364,"date":"2010-09-19T18:09:25","date_gmt":"2010-09-19T18:09:25","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-09-19T19:09:01","modified_gmt":"2010-09-19T19:09:01","slug":"Haiping-Xie-Makes-London-Debut-To-Much-Fanfare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=6364","title":{"rendered":"Haiping Xie Makes London Debut To Much Fanfare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chinese designer, <strong>Haiping Xie<\/strong>, took part in <strong>Vauxhall Fashion Scout\u2019s Fashion Shenzhen<\/strong> event during London Fashion Week and triumphed his <strong>London debut<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p>Xie\u2019s showed luxurious pieces with a couture spirit, interpreting traditional Chinese prints with a modern edge. The impeccably tailored garments made reference to the golden age of Chinese craftsmanship before the Revolution. The models were accompanied down the runway with Chinese classical music, a nod to the country\u2019s imperial past. <\/p>\n<p>The color palette was as regal as the collection with black, gold, red and yellow dominating. Xie juxtaposed mini dresses with floor-grazing trains, fitted dresses with billowing hemlines and gigantic halter-necks attached to slim-cut dresses. All of the dresses were regal in their own right.  <\/p>\n<p>Phoenix News television reporter, <strong>Celia Li<\/strong>, found the collection engaging and found Xie\u2019s blend of the different cultures sophisticated and tasteful. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI loved the show a lot. I think he mixed the East with the West spectacularly,\u201d said Li. \u201cThey have a royal feeling to his designs.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Xie is already a renowned designer in his native China. This marks his debut in London and already, many buyers have expressed interest. This show was a part of Vauxhall Fashion Scout\u2019s Fashion Shenzhen event that gives Chinese designers a platform to introduce their work to an international audience at one of fashion\u2019s most talked about events. <\/p>\n<p><object width=\"500\" height=\"385\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/4oujN1llYMM?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0\"><\/param><param
