{"id":6431,"date":"2010-10-02T00:10:52","date_gmt":"2010-10-02T00:10:52","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-10-02T00:10:45","modified_gmt":"2010-10-02T00:10:45","slug":"Jay-Park-wants-to-work-with-Charice-break-into-US-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=6431","title":{"rendered":"Jay Park wants to work with Charice, break into US market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>South Korean pop star Jay Park<\/strong> expressed his desire to collaborate with singer <strong>Charice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Park<\/strong>, a former leader of the popular South Korean boy band 2PM, is impressed at the talents of the Philippine singer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to collaborate with Charice, I\u2019d be glad to collaborate with her, \u201d <strong>Park<\/strong> told reporters during a press conference on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Park also revealed his ambition to break through the American music scene and like <strong>Charice<\/strong>, penetrate the mainstream music industry through sheer talent and hard work.<\/p>\n<p>Park would like to break down barriers, build cultural bridges and be added to the list of Asian pop stars who succeed in America.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do have a lot of interest in breaking out in the American music scene. I do like music a lot and one day hopefully, I can break that barrier, I know Charice right now is doing a big thing over there and she\u2019s much loved over there,\u201d Park said.<br \/>\nPark\u2019s impressive dancing, rapping and singing skills have really not gone unnoticed. He did a collaboration with T-Pain and Snoop Dog and starred in Hollywood movie Hype Nation after going solo.<\/p>\n<p>As for his dance inspirations, Park cites his crew and his Filipino choreographer Andrew Baterina.<\/p>\n<p><strong>He said he is in awe of the talents of Filipinos<\/strong>. Three members of his crew AOM or Art of Movement are Filipino-Americans. Park takes them with him in his Asian tour.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sthanlee B.
