Canadian actor Jennifer Spence returns<\/strong> to the multiple award winning MGM Syfy television series \u2018SGU-Stargate Universe\u2019<\/strong>, as the brainy and secretly libidinous scientist Dr. Lisa Park on the series\u2019 second season, now airing. <\/p>\n

Jennifer\u2019s popular character on \u2018SGU- Stargate Universe\u2019 is Dr. Lisa Park<\/strong>, the chatty and quick female Tau’ri scientist who participated in the Stargate program and the Icarus project. She more than holds her own amongst the team of mostly male scientists and has helped out in several many scientific discoveries since her character\u2019s arrival onboard Destiny. How does Dr. Park <\/strong>deal with relieving her stress from living on the ship? She shares in intimate encounters with several of the fellow crew! <\/p>\n

2010 has been a big year for the cast and crew of SGU Stargate Universe as it has been nominated for an impressive nine Gemini Awards and for as well as two Emmy Awards. Jennifer was nominated for a Leo Award for Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series for her role on \u2018Stargate Universe\u2019.<\/strong> She has also received major recognition for her recurring role on the 2nd second season of the GLAAD Media Award nominated Showcase comedy \u2018Exes & Ohs\u2019. Jennifer plays the wise-cracking, bisexual barista Devin Cheng<\/strong>, who is the newest addition to this group of friends. She often ends up using her genius computer skills to bail them out of various predicaments in this hilarious series about lesbian lifeJennifer has a formidable list of television and film credits to her name including principle roles on \u2018Tru Calling\u2019, \u2018Reunion\u2019, \u2018Touching Evil\u2019, and the Lifetime MOW \u2018Write & Wrong\u2019 (Kirstie Alley). Recurring roles include \u2018The 4400\u2019, \u2018Killer Instinct\u2019 and \u2018DaVinci\u2019s Inquest\u2019. She has had guest starring roles on \u2018Eureka\u2019, \u2018Northern Town\u2019 and \u2018Huff\u2019 (Hank Azaria) and played Gwen Stathis in the Lifetime MOW, \u2018A Decent Proposal\u2019.

\nHer film credits include \u2018Catch & Release\u2019 (Jennifer Garner, Juliette Lewis), \u2018The Core\u2019 (Stanley Tucci, Hilary Swank) and the short film \u2018Blind Spot\u2019<\/strong> by director Christy Garland.<\/p>\n

Born and raised in Toronto, the acting bug hit Jennifer<\/strong> at the early age of seven while performing as an orphan in a summer camp production of \u2018Annie\u2019 belting out \u2018It\u2019s a Hard Knock Life\u2019. She made the decision to commit herself to the performing arts world and went on to study at the prestigious National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal.<\/p>\n

Fans of Jennifer\u2019s<\/strong> often ask what her background is being that she has such a unique and exotic look. Her father is British and her mother is a third generation Japanese Canadian.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The second season of \u2018SGU-Stargate Universe\u2019<\/strong> airs on Syfy on Tuesdays at 9\/8c and will also premiere in Canada on Space. \u2018Exes and Ohs\u2019<\/strong> started re-airing September 1st on Superchannel on Wednesdays at 7:30pm PST.
