{"id":6537,"date":"2010-10-24T05:10:28","date_gmt":"2010-10-24T05:10:28","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-10-23T23:10:35","modified_gmt":"2010-10-23T23:10:35","slug":"Utada-to-release-best-album-of-English-songs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=6537","title":{"rendered":"Utada to release best album of English songs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to announcing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asiancemagazine.com\/news\/2010\/10\/21\/utada-announces-2-night-yokohama-arena-concert-series\">two Yokohama Arena concerts in December<\/a>, <strong>Utada<\/strong> is coming out with an all English album! <\/p>\n<p>Several news sources are reporting that <strong>Hikaru Utada will release a best album of her English songs, titled \u201cUtada The Best.\u201d<\/strong> Although her official website has not yet announced the album, Nikkan Sports says that the information was sent to record stores across the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cUtada The Best\u201d<\/strong> is <strong>scheduled for release on November 24<\/strong>, the same day her <strong>\u201cUtada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.2? goes on sale<\/strong>. The tracklist has already been revealed, including songs such as \u201cCome Back To Me,\u201d \u201cExodus \u201804,\u201d \u201cDevil Inside,\u201d \u201cSanctuary,\u201d and \u201cKremlin Dusk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>yeah! So excited!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE: Utada took to Twitter today to inform fans that the upcoming Universal Japan release, \u201cUtada The Best,\u201d was conceived entirely against her will. She says, \u201cI understand that if it doesn\u2019t sell I\u2019m the one who will take the hit, but to be honest, I don\u2019t want my fans putting down money for something that my heart isn\u2019t in.\u201d She goes so far as to call out Universal for deciding to release the compilation album on the same day as EMI\u2019s legitimate release, \u201cSingle Collection Vol. 2.\u201d Utada mentions a more formal announcement will be coming in the next few days.
