This is both yummy and low in calories!<\/p>\n<p>Here goes:  Sweet pepper salmon <\/p>\n<p><strong>Sweet pepper salmon<\/strong><br \/>\n4 salmon fillets, skin removed (1 1\/2 lb)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup whole smoked almonds<br \/>\nlarge zip-top bag<br \/>\n2 teaspoons chili powder<br \/>\n2 teaspoons paprika<br \/>\n1 teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning<br \/>\nCooking spray (pref olive oil)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup maple syrup (low sugar)<br \/>\n1 tablespoon light soy sauce<\/p>\n<p><strong>STEPS<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Please almonds in zip-top bag and crush, using meat mallot (or rolling pin), until the size of course breadcrumbs.  Add chili powder, paprika, and garlic pepper; shake to mix.<\/p>\n<p>2. Preheat large saute pan on medium 2-3 minutes.  Coat salmon with cooking spray; place in zip-top bag.  Seal bag and shake (or press with fingertips) to evenly coat salmon.<\/p>\n<p>3. Remove pan from heat and coat with cooking spray.  Add salmon, cook 3-4 minutes on each side or until 145 degrees Farenheight and fish flakes easily.<\/p>\n<p>4. Remove salmon from pan.  Add syrup and soy sauce to pan, cook 1-2 minutes or until sauce begins to thiken.
