{"id":7721,"date":"2011-02-22T04:02:13","date_gmt":"2011-02-22T04:02:13","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2011-02-22T04:02:37","modified_gmt":"2011-02-22T04:02:37","slug":"U-S-School-Counts-on-Bollywood-to-Expand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=7721","title":{"rendered":"U.S. School Counts on Bollywood to Expand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>As part of the continuing trend of foreign universities that want to expand their presence in India, the University of Southern California Monday announced an agreement with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, at a function held at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel in the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The two schools are expected to collaborate for exchange programs. But the university isn\u2019t only trying to woo engineering and business students from India\u2014of which it already has a large number.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe have a total enrollment of 1,700 graduate and undergraduate Indian students on our campus with 90% of them being in the fields of engineering, business, economics and psychology,\u201d said C.L. Max Nikias, the university\u2019s newly-appointed president.
