Just a year and a half after a huge advertisement featuring Tiger Woods<\/strong> at Shanghai\u2019s Hongqiao International Airport<\/strong> was removed, the country welcomes him back with open arms. <\/p>\n

Tiger Woods will appear in China and South Korea to attend the first Nike “Make It Matter” Tour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Nike “Make It Matter” Tour<\/strong> is not a real competition but to illuminate the sport of golf in Asia among youth, golf fans and aspiring athletes alike<\/strong> — all through the insights shared by Woods as it relates to golf, including athletic training, practicing, preparing for competition and product innovation.<\/p>\n

The Tour will make its first stop at Mission Hills golf club in China’s south city of Shenzhen form 11-12 April, which will be the second time for the club to host Woods.<\/strong> His inaugural visit 10 years ago was a landmark event for Chinese golf development, raising the game’s profile both in China and around the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“We warmly welcome the return of Tiger Woods. Ten years ago, his visit was an important milestone for the golf community in China,” Tenniel Chu, Vice Chairman of Mission Hills Golf Club, said on Thursday.<\/p>\n

“We hope Tiger Woods’ strong appeal will attract more enthusiasts into the game of golf, especially among our younger athletes,” said Chu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As part of the tour, Mission Hills will host the Nike Golf Junior Championships for golfers aged 12 to 18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The tournament will be held from April 11-12, with 120 young golfers competing for the chance to meet Woods in person<\/strong>. All contestants will also be invited to participate in the Tiger Woods Golf Clinic on April 12.<\/p>\n

During Woods’ last visit 10 years ago, junior golfers Han Ren<\/strong> and Feng Yue<\/strong> had the chance to play with Woods, with both going on to become China’s leading amateur golfers.
