Unfaithful husbands, wives who are trying to win their husbands back, and clich\u00e9s about marriage and fidelity: these familiar ingredients of many Hindi films are yet again employed in director Anees Bazmee\u2019s \u201cThank You,\u201d which opened Friday. The film\u2019s story is pretty similar to the plot of Mr. Bazmee\u2019s 2005 film \u201cNo Entry,\u201d which also revolved around three friends who were less than ideal husbands, and which ended with tiresome scenes of the three men realizing the importance of marriage and relationships.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, here we go again. \u201cThank You\u201d is a comedy about three men, played by Bobby Deol, Suniel Shetty and Irrfan Khan, who are cheating on their wives, played by Sonam Kapoor, Celina Jaitely and Rimi Sen. In comes a private detective, played by Akshay Kumar, to teach the husbands a lesson.<\/p>\n

On the performance front, while the leading men were dry in their effort to be funny, Ms. Kazmi thought the ladies \u201cremain cosmetic with Sonam looking terribly out of sync, Rimmi not being allowed to play her feisty self and Celina being forced to do the disappearing act for a large part of the film\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n
