Festival organizers Thursday announced the lineup for the 64th Festival de Cannes, which runs May 11-22.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHanezu No Tsuki,\u201d from director Naomi Kawase, and \u201cIchimei,\u201d from director Takashi Miike, are among the 19 films selected to compete in the festival\u2019s Official Selection, the main competition.<\/p>\n<p>Three South Korean films will screen in the Un Certain Regard category, the second-most prestigious competition at the festival: \u201cThe Day He Arrives,\u201d from director Hong Sang-soo, \u201cArirang,\u201d from director Kim Ki-duk, and Na Hong-jin\u2019s \u201cYellow Sea.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Yellow Sea Trailer<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"480\" height=\"390\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/B0WRm5mmFzw\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Joining those films in Un Certain Regard is Singaporean director Eric Khoo\u2019s animated feature, \u201cTatsumi.\u201d The film is based on the life and short stories of Japanese comic-book artist Yoshihiro Tatsumi, the father of the gekiga style of graphic comics.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Making Of Tatsumi<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"480\" height=\"390\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ke7Nf2_EwOc\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/scene\/2011\/04\/15\/asia-at-cannes\/?mod=WSJBlog&#038;mod=LifeCulture\" title=\"SOURCE\">SOURCE<\/a><br \/>\n<!--break--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Japanese and Korean films will give Asia a solid presence at this year\u2019s Cannes film festival.
