{"id":8409,"date":"2011-04-17T02:04:06","date_gmt":"2011-04-17T02:04:06","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2011-04-17T02:04:06","modified_gmt":"2011-04-17T02:04:06","slug":"Cheyenne-Woods-Wins-ACC-Championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=8409","title":{"rendered":"Cheyenne Woods Wins ACC Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Tiger Woods<\/strong> niece, <strong>Cheyenne Woods<\/strong>, finished 5-under 208 at the Atlantic Coast Conference championship tournament&#8230;the biggest win of <strong>Cheyenne Woods&#8217; amateur golf career<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Woods<\/strong>, a junior at Wake Forest University, began the final round tied for the lead with North Carolina&#8217;s Allie White. But Woods pulled away from White and the field over the last 18, posting the only sub-70 round of the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The ACC championship is Woods&#8217; first victory in the 2010-11 NCAA golf season<\/strong>, although she did have a third-place at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in February. <strong>It&#8217;s her third victory in three seasons at Wake Forest<\/strong>; she previously won the Bryan National Collegiate in the 2009-2010 season; and teamed with Michelle Shin to win the Women&#8217;s Collegiate Team Championship in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Going into the ACC tournament, <strong>Cheyenne Woods was ranked No. 38 in the Golfweek\/Sagarin women&#8217;s college golf rankings<\/strong>;
