New data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows the Asian-American population has grown by 43 percent over the past decade<\/strong>. In Minnesota, the growth is outpacing the national averages.<\/p>\n

To address some of the unique issues facing the Asian-American community, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders prepared a report with policy recommendations for 23 federal agencies.<\/p>\n

The report, which was presented to President Barack Obama this week<\/strong>, was made public at the Hmong National Conference in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

FOX 9 News spoke with Duoa Thor, a member of the president\u2019s advisory commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders<\/strong>, to learn more about the report and what was discussed at the conference.<\/p>\n
