This spread features what V is calling Asian supermodels<\/strong> \u2014 or some of the Asian models who are booking the most work in the industry, not that they’re working nearly at the rate of the industry’s top-earning lady models.<\/p>\n

Magazines are starting to follow suit by investing page counts and even entire issues employing models of color. American Vogue shot a two page spread on Asian models entitled Asia Major for their December issue.<\/strong> Vogue Italia’s Black Allure fashion story from February garnered much attention. However, this month Vogue Italia features two entire fashion stories with black models. At The Cut there is a preview of V Magazine’s Asian Issue, which highlights top Asian models like Liu Wen, Tao Okamoto, Shu Pei and Fei Fei Sun<\/strong>. The issue hits newsstands tomorrow. <\/p>\n

I knew these girls were the next SUPERMODELS! Liu Wen, Shu Pei and Hyoni Kang<\/strong>, the supermodels of the new millennium in 2008<\/a><\/p>\n
