The New York Post<\/a> reported that Alexander Wang<\/strong> released a promotional music video with hot hip-hop artist Santigold<\/strong> on Wednesday to show off his resort collection two weeks after Prabal Gurung<\/strong> used the same format with hip-hop artist Rye Rye<\/strong> to show off his own collection. <\/p>\n

Alexander Wang<\/strong> released his new campaign video and posted ads all over New York City for his Fall ’11 T by Alexander Wang<\/strong> line. These new crop of ads and the accompanying video feature uber cool rapper\/singer Santigold<\/strong> and rapper Spankrock<\/strong> \u2013 continuing the freshness from past campaigns that featured Zoe Kravitz<\/strong> and Diplo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The ads are shot by Dan Jackson and the video features a remix of Santigold’s<\/strong> single, “Go.”<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s Prabal Gurung\u2019s \u201cNew Thing\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prabal Gurung\u2018s<\/strong> \u201cNew Thing,\u201d aside from a catchy song that\u2019s now dancing in all of our heads, is his first resort collection. It\u2019s a video featuring singer and muse Rye Rye<\/strong> titled \u201cNew Thing\u201d<\/strong> gives us a glimpse at his vivid clothes. Every aspect of the video is derived from the collection, which looks like it\u2019s going to be packed with color, polka dots and florals!
\nPrabal<\/strong> and Rye Rye<\/strong> make for the perfect pair. \u201cI was immediately taken by how unique and dynamic her music was\u2026Her authentic sound and tremendous energy was exactly what we were looking for, and I have always loved her bright, personal style\u201d Gurung<\/strong> said of the singer.<\/p>\n
