{"id":9588,"date":"2011-07-11T01:07:17","date_gmt":"2011-07-11T01:07:17","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2011-07-11T01:07:17","modified_gmt":"2011-07-11T01:07:17","slug":"Melissa-Lee-is-new--Squawk-on-the-Street--anchor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=9588","title":{"rendered":"Melissa Lee is new &#8220;Squawk on the Street&#8221; anchor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>CNBC has decided on its new anchors for the 2-hour \u201cSquawk on the Street\u201d morning show.<\/strong> The business channel is tapping several veterans to fill the seat left vacant following the death May 25th of longtime anchor Mark Haines and the departure three weeks earlier of co-anchor Erin Burnett, now at CNN.<\/p>\n<p>CNBC SVP Nik Deogun announced that starting today,<strong> Melissa Lee and Carl Quintanilla will co-anchor the show<\/strong>, with contributions from Jim Cramer, Simon Hobbs and David Faber.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the changes, Quintanilla moves off \u201cSquawk Box,\u201d with a rotating group of anchors filling in on the network\u2019s signature morning show alongside Joe Kernen and Becky Quick.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lee continues with \u201cFast Money\u201d at 5pm.<\/strong> Also, Scott Wapner has been named permanent anchor of \u201cFast Money Halftime Report\u201d seen at 12:30pmET.<\/p>\n<p><em>via cnbc<\/em><br \/>\n<!--break--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CNBC has decided on its new anchors for the 2-hour \u201cSquawk on the Street\u201d morning show.
