{"id":9813,"date":"2011-07-30T21:07:36","date_gmt":"2011-07-30T21:07:36","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2011-07-30T21:07:36","modified_gmt":"2011-07-30T21:07:36","slug":"Massive-Seoul-floods-force-K-pop-stars-to-take-subway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asiancemagazine.com\/?p=9813","title":{"rendered":"Massive Seoul floods force K-pop stars to take subway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The massive flood that has recently brought Seoul to a standstill has also greatly affected the entertainment industry<\/strong>, with shooting for drama serials becoming delayed as sets became flooded and Korean stars found it difficult to get to work, reported Korean media.<\/p>\n<p>The production teams for<strong> Korean dramas like &#8220;Heartstrings&#8221; and period epic &#8220;Warrior Baek Dong Soo&#8221; were forced to make last-minute scheduling changes to accommodate the problems brought about by the flood.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Still, the flood which was brought about by heavy rains had the <strong>happy side-effect of allowing some lucky K-pop fans to share the same subway train with their idols.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Photographs of <strong>star sightings on the subway were abundant on various Korean Internet forums over the past few days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Flood waters, sometimes two stories deep, have made it impossible to travel by car in certain areas of Seoul, so singers like <strong>Korean girl group Rainbow&#8217;s Jae Kyung and boy band Super Junior&#8217;s Cho Kyu Hyun<\/strong> had no choice but to take the subway to get where they needed to go.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s raining a lot. We are adhering to our scheduled appointments by taking the subway!&#8221; tweeted Jae Kyung on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think I should put in effort to live and work harder after watching people go to work despite the nasty weather! Everyone, let&#8217;s not give up and overcome this weather disaster!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ugh how dare one take the subway!
