Cheyenne Woods, the 18-year-old niece of Tiger Woods, will play in her first LPGA tournament next month.

Cheyenne Woods, a freshman at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, was given a sponsor’s exemption to play in the Wegmans LPGA event in Pittsford, New York, from June 25-28, tournament organizers said.

At Wake Forest, she helped the Demon Deacons win the Atlantic Coast Conference team title this season. The two-time Arizona high school state champion is ranked 91st among all women’s college players by Golfweek magazine.

Cheyenne Woods is the daughter of Earl Woods Jr., the son of Tiger Woods’s father, Earl Sr.

The tournament at Locust Hill Country Club also will include nine of the top 10 players on the LPGA money list as well as tour rookie Michelle Wie. Top-ranked Lorena Ochoa, the tournament’s 2007 winner, has yet to commit to play in the event.
