This has been a crazy summer in regards to people leaving this world. Father of Slumdog actor Azhar Ismail (far left) died of tuberculosis at the family’s home in Mumbai.

He died today in the new flat bought for the family by the trust set up by director Danny Boyle. Azhar, 10, was at school at the time and did not learn of the death until he returned home in the early evening.

If you recall, Azhar was the child who was beaten by his dad for not speaking to journalists once he returned from his Oscar trip. Guess he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore.
