Since their capture 53 days ago, no word has been spoken on the capture of the 3 Americans who strayed into Iran while hiking in northern Iraq’s Kurdistan region in July.
The families of Shane Bauer, Joshua Fattal and Sarah Shourd are hoping Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will announce their release or at least provide some information about them today when he speaks at the General Assembly in New York
This incident has become the latest source of friction between the U.S. and Iran.
