Euna Lee, the Current TV journalist who was apprehended with colleague Laura

Euna Lee, the Current TV journalist who was apprehended with colleague Laura Ling in March, is shopping a book about her ordeal, which began after the pair wandered from China into North Korean territory. They were released in August following a visit to Pyongyang by former President Bill Clinton.

Ms. Lee and her agent, Todd Shuster of the Zachary Shuster Harmsworth literary agency, were meeting with New York publishers last week, sources say. According to one insider, an interesting aspect of the project is that Ms. Lee, who speaks Korean, could provide a rare glimpse inside the bizarre dictatorship.

Shortly after the pair were freed, the Wall Street Journal, citing an unnamed source, reported that Ms. Ling and her sister, television journalist Lisa Ling, were shopping a book proposal through William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, which represents Lisa. A spokesman at the agency declined to comment. Mr. Shuster did not return a call.

Euna Lee and Laura Ling need all the opportunities they can get. More layoffs are expected at Current TV, they’re news organization which sent them to China.
