The upcoming Doha Tribeca Film Festival will host filmmakers Mira Nair (“Amelia”), Danny Boyle (“Slumdog Millionaire”), Elia Suleiman (“The Time That Remains”), R.J. Cutler (“The September Issue”) and industry executives Lynette Howell, Ken Kamins, Cassian Elwes as part of its “Doha Talks” series during its inaugural event taking place October 29 – November 1.

is a unique partnership between Qatar Museum Authority (QMA) and New York’s Tribeca Film Festival.“We’ve programmed a range of opportunities to engage Doha in the world of filmmaking like never before,” commented Amanda Palmer, executive director of DTFF in a statement. “These panels and master classes complement our year-round education.” Palmer continued, “These conversations will unite films, filmmakers and audiences together in a way that will evolve cinema culture.” DTFF is a partnership between Tribeca Enterprises and Qatar Museums Authority.


Mira Nair’s latest film, Amelia, will open the Doha Tribeca Film Festival on October 29th.
