Leather Japan

Leather Japan 2012 made their New York Fashion Week debut with a group of young up and coming Japanese designers, ready to show the U.S. fashion world their unique spin on a classic material; leather.

Leather Japan 2012 is a project organized by the Japan Leather Good Development Committee.

The group was formed to spread the appeal of Japanese leather fashion to the world.

On the 13th of Feb, at Lincoln Center, a presentation of Japanese designers was held.

All works were made from leather. And it looked more than leather!

What I mean is, their works were more flexible and more fantastic!

As the picture shows, they designed bags, accessories, shoes and clothes. Leather stuff always makes us feel more ethic.

The man in the photo is one of the designers, Noritaka Tatehana.
He studied design in London and received his inspiration from a Vogue fashion show.

Also he told me that the strength of Asian women is that we are dainty and delicate. 🙂
