Bring back M*A*S*H and Alan Alda!

I have such fond memories of watching neverending episodes of M*A*S*H growing up. It was undoubtedly my dad’s favorite show and a staple in our home! Each week when my dad’s brothers would come over to headquarters (my house) they would love to watch M*A*S*H because they could ALL relate as Korean War Veterans who served this wonderful Country. There are so many men and women who selflessly put their lives on the line for the greater cause of the Country and Newt Gingrich can identify with that CAUSE. Alan Alda did a such a phenomenal job playing Hawkeye and the rest of the talented cast to enact a staff of a Korean War field hospital that used humor and hijinks to keep their sanity in the face of the REAL horror of war!

M*A*S*H is an American television series developed by Larry Gelbart, based on the 1968 novel MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors, by Richard Hooker). The series is a medical drama/black comedy that was produced in association with 20th Century Fox Television for CBS. It follows a team of doctors and support staff stationed at the “4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital” in Uijeongbu, South Korea, during the Korean War. M*A*S*H’s title sequence featured an instrumental version of the song “Suicide Is Painless”, which also appears in the original film. The show was created after an attempt to film the original book’s sequel, M*A*S*H Goes to Maine, failed. It is the most well known version of the M*A*S*H works.

Many of the stories in the early seasons are based on REAL-LIFE tales told by real MASH surgeons who were interviewed by the production team. Like the movie, the series was as much an allegory about the Vietnam War (still in progress when the show began) as it was about the Korean War.

Alan Alda as “Hawkeye”, rank of Captain and Chief Surgeon, completely stole the show although he was in great company! The entire cast was extraordinarily talented. Remember Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan?? hilarious!! They just don’t make shows like M*A*S*H anymore. šŸ™ Alan Alda was also a Fordham College Alumnus and “A House” was the “Holy Grail” as far as I was concerned bc that is where HE lived when he was in residence there. Come to think of it, everyone knew that and treated it that way because of HiS legend! He is most definitely one of the greatest actors out there today. He brought so much joy to me and my family and is continuing to bring joy and laughter to so many others! Thanks for the memories and the laughs. šŸ™‚

I am! You must have ESP! I am a wrinkled old prune like Ariana Huffington and Jane Fonda after only about five face lifts wearing a leotard leopard dress cut down below my ass and boasting about my phenomenal sex life to just about anyone who will listen across the airwaves!! Who let the pussy cat out of the bag?? You can always go to a “REAL LIVE” place offline and “get a life” YOURSELF since I suspect that YOU are NOT a wrinkled old 80 year old LA Prune who is so thrilled to be getting knocked up by a “hip replacement” doctor or ANYMAN for that matter. Just a “little” suggestion. Of course, THAT is for YOU to decide. But before YOU do that, go and support Newt for President bc he needs sexy, young, beautiful, HOT Asian girls like YOU to help him win in his bid for he GOP nomination. http://www.newt.org Now go out and have a REALLY HOT Shanghai night! WINK:)

When you see a war veteran or any member of the Marines, Army or Navy- it is always nice to say thank you and show some kindness and respect. šŸ™‚
