Does anyone know who this fake blogger is?

Does anyone know who this fake blogger bitch is that I see at almost every event I attend, rummaging through other people’s gift bags? She freaked me out so much that I just had to start snapping pictures! Who does she work for? Can anyone explain? Where is she published? How does she get into these events? I can not stand people who give us legitimate bloggers a bad rap! Does anyone do their research?

  • All rook same, but could be Melissa Lee?

  • This looks like someone working undercover from the IRS to be sure everyone in attendance declares the gifts on their next income tax return. She goes through the bags to assign a fair market value.

YOU KNOW SHE ALSO LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE WHO ACTS LIKE A PHILANTHROPIST WHO PRETENDS TO CARE ABOUT “VICTIMS” FROM A DISASTER OR TRAGEDY LIKE (OH I DON’T KNOW 9-11?) BUTT WHO TAKES CASH DONATIONS WITHOUT ANY PAPER TRAIL OF ANY KIND!!!

  • She’s on the NYC Event Crasher List that publicists and event planners have created which has all the usual suspects

Check out this article on IBR News (http://www.ibrnews.com/?p=744). The crasher referenced at the bottom is her.

  • She’s an event crasher, and she’s at almost every event I attend. In fact, I hear that she’s at some events *I* couldn’t get in to, and I’m a legitimate fashion journalist for both print and online publications.

But she gets in, fades like a shadow, gets her gift bag and quietly leaves. Then goes home and sells it on Ebay.

I’ve heard that she’ll even look thru names tags on a table and says she’s that person. I’m guessing she’s gone before the real person on the name tag shows up.

Why the PR people aren’t on to her is beyond me.

Her name is Fake Blogger Bitch. Used to just crash NY big parties and movie premieres. Is now turning up at fashion and makeup previews claiming to write for San Francisco Magazine, ChiChi21, Film Fest Traveler, and other outlets.

But she and a whole host of her ilk (including the millions of fake bloggers who claim they write for the Yelp-like Examiner) have been around for years. It is the fault of the PR companies that often give legit bloggers (especially ones of color or older established writers) a hard time while not investigating these crashers.

I have been to many an event (in fact I was at one just last night) where my outlet had to jump through hoops to get in and was queried about what coverage they would get, despite having an established site where my hundreds of articles can be readily found. Then I’ll arrive and find this one and more like her there because they lie about their supposed outlets or read names off the list and no one checks! The recent Joe Fresh opening was a particularly glaring example of this where every crasher in NY was at the supposed VIP Media event sporting the VIP Media gift bag, which they ran out of for a lot of legit press. What a real waste for the client as we would have actually COVERED the product.

So it is not the fake bloggers that need to be blamed for giving legit bloggers a bad name. PR needs to step its game up and base their list on actual coverage, not race, age, or any other arbitrary measure. And check these fake people out, it’s not that hard. All you have to do is Google her name to see she doesn’t write for anyone. And you have to dig a little. For example, many of these people ran over to the Examiner to try to claim they are bloggers when they are not. All you have to do is pull up the Examiner to see that it states that ANYONE can post there, which is not the same as actually owning and publishing a site! It’s the same at the Huffington Post. Unless you are an EDITOR, anyone can post there. Then there are the people who do have blogs, but do not write about the category of the brand you are presenting. Despite claiming to be, everyone is not “lifestyle”! For example, you have fashion bloggers going to tech events. Why?

From IBR News re: the Fake Blogger

“Crasher Thieves were working really hard again this year. Word is that at the HP sponsored Project Runway party one notorious Asian woman managed to steal the HP TouchPad being given solely to designers in attendance. She simply searched through her phone for Asian contestants and then waltzed over to the on-site HP reps and claimed to be Ping Woo from Season 10. Perhaps they should have asked for ID. But then, who would think that the crashers were this inventive? Look for said tablet to be for sale on E-Bay any day now. The good news is HP was alerted to the fraud so they are now looking for her.”

This week was full of previews and she was at lots of events scooping up the bags and items meant for us legit journalists. Some places ran out, because people like her got there first. I heard that she wasn’t admitted to a Nordstrom’s event. Good on you Nordy, keep those crashers out!

Her name is Fake Blogger Bitch.

Very interesting Nancy! And you are right. Her “rich fashion set friends” weren’t really her friends because she had to keep up appearances in order to keep them. It wasn’t the debt, because I am sure that Mick would’ve paid it out. It was living in a fake world with fake people. I also don’t think that it is mentally healthy for women not to have children. If that is the case as with many of us, you really have to work hard to develop your creativity and find meaning in a cold and overly materialistic world. When I went through the hardest time of my life from 2008-2012, I had to do some serious housekeeping. I got rid of at least 8 former “friends” of mine because hardship forces you to face the hard reality of life. That is the wonderful thing that comes out of it. Like the articles says, L’Wren was just one of countless New Yorkers who secretly fake their fabulous lives. A major reason why Facebook is so detrimental to one’s health.

Take it from Nancy and me, the “jet set” and “super rich and famous” are not all that. We have both been to countless events with them and that will not make you happy. More often than not, it resembles a freak show of one upmanship and fakeness. Most of those individuals are seriously disturbed anyway or are suing one another. It is all for appearance sake. Join a charity, start a side business, take up a hobby, learn something new (like a new instrument or language) and/or help people in need. That is what will make you feel fulfilled and happy in life. You only need a handful of close-knit friends, the rest is gravy as they say.

Stevefoxet: lol, i went to that event. There was security & cameras to the wazoo at MSG. Maybe you’re the one who stole 14 headphones. You know what they say about fox in a henhouse. I saw what went down. Maybe you’re confused with yourself. Seriously, get your eye & facts checked before you talking smack about people.

Woohoo ah you see Nancy, we already provoked & tickled one of Fake Blogger Bitch’s minion defenders to stumble upon here. See what we can do when we work together. Congrats for opening the door. What do you go by Anonymissy? Don’t let the crasher shift away from the matter at hand & project high stake accusations to us journalists; to evade the truth lol. 2 wrongs don’t make a right. See I don’t hen or fox around I tell it like it is! Think ya’ll can sense the right answer from previous statements here or cleareye. Just complain and report ANY of her ways ASAP to Brad at the filmfestivaltraveler. Imagery never fails ; ). “Wazoo” wasn’t on the short one til she kept going back & forth became fishy. Regardless shed still remain fake blogger with same ways, some in which you’ve read here. I know I’d never her let her write mah blog. I rest my case

The Fake Blogger Bitch strikes again in the Hamptons. This time at Super Saturday! At the end of the event when brands were packing their unsold goods to go for charity to be sold to benefit Ovarian Cancer, Fake Blogger Bitch swooped in wearing her signature dark glasses to take the whole rack of bikinis and stuffed it into one of her many bags. Good thing security was watching and stopped her and told her to return every piece so it could go to charity. This isn’t the only time she’s tried to steal multiple items- Samsung caught her and so did LG. Because of her sticky fingers and criminal ways, brands have to hire eagle eye security guards.

Elaine is still at it. Seen her old haggy a$S at press events, stealing swag & packing it into her many many bags. PR people must be stupid. Don’t they notice fake blogger Bitch & her bags of swag as she hauls them back to her lair in Queens? She pays her rent with swag from urban decay by Gwen Stefani and all the other things she steals. She is a CANADIAN citizen who lives in NYC tax free & gets away with it for years. People work 3 jobs to pay their rent while Elaine eats the best food, steals anything in site & hawks it to fund her lavish lifestyle. The only publication willing to publish anything on her is Asiance magazine. all the other ones must be afraid she’ll sue them with her stolen $. Leave hard working immigrants alone & deport the real criminals plus stop letting them in.

Yo true dat. Elaine IS still at it. My TINGLE tells me shes selling her day & medialist thats right Celebrity datebook, Fashion CFDA Calendar and more for $60 to a new tech guy she met (and who knows who else), while the dumy gives his exclusive info on the industry lunches/dinners for tech & cios for none. She now has suddenly appeared at these functions. Well have to cut both of them out. I don’t think it is right to charge? SERIOUSLY Cheapskate get a job. How low can you fkn go to pay your RENT! … .
Although this will be hard proven. While the lists are paid and probably forwarded to her by an unknown entity. This action of further sale attempts should be reported and heads up to the editors of the publications companies as it is theft of $ervice. An example of such listing can be seen below.
