Tiger Woods’ niece trying to beat him to next major

Cheyenne Woods takes to the course next week.

That would be the niece of Tiger.

The 21-year-old has gotten a sponsor’s exemption for the Wegmans LPGA Championship in Pittsford, N.Y.

That gives her a week advantage on her uncle Tiger who doesn’t play his next major — the U.S. Open — until the following week.

Cheyenne Woods, who missed the cut as an amateur in 2009, was a top player at Wake Forest who announced she was going pro last week.
