Areas of northeast seeing Superstorm Sandy baby boom

It’s been four months since Superstorm Sandy hit the northeast.

Now, some in New York say they’re seeing a bump in the number of babies that may have been conceived while the lights were out.

Some baby experts say that’s now a common story.

Alison Milam runs Rosie Pope Maternity which has two New York locations, one on the Upper East Side and one in Tribeca.

She says workers at the Tribeca location have noticed an uptick in business after most residents there were stuck in their homes with the lights out in the days after the big storm hit.

At the Upper East Side store, business is about the same – remember the Upper East Side didn’t suffer any outages during Sandy.

“We couldn’t figure out what was causing it. It was so localized and we did the math and realized that a lot of these women were newly pregnant and it kind of timed out exactly to when Sandy happened and all the lights went out.”

Bet none of them are Asian!!!!

Asians know how to behave in the dark? Or they wrap it up no matter what the weather?
