Lisa Ling Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Lisa Ling is a new mom! The 39-year-old journalist welcomed a baby girl with husband Paul Song on Friday, March 8, Us Weekly can confirm.

Jett Ling Song was born in Santa Monica, Calif., at 1:24 p.m. She weighed in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces.

“We feel so blessed that this day has arrived,” Ling told Us in an exclusive statement. We’re nervously excited to begin this next chapter in our lives with our little Jett.”

This is the first child for the couple of five years, who suffered a devastating miscarriage in 2010. Ling confirmed her pregnancy on Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show in October. “I was trying to keep [my pregnancy] quiet for a long time, but I’m starting to get to the point where it looks like I have this really big beer belly,” she joked. “I figured I’d better share it publicly.”
