“Slumdog Millionaire” child star Ayush Mahesh Khedekar is returning to the big

“Slumdog Millionaire” child star Ayush Mahesh Khedekar is returning to the big screen for the Swiss film “Shyam’s Secret,” producers Vergari Studio-Mangola Films and Vinay Pictures said Friday.
Khedekar, who played young Jamal in Danny Boyle’s Oscar-winning drama, will co-star in “Secret,” an adventure tale set in India about an 8-year-old girl and her friendship with a mysterious boy named Shyam.

Filming begins in October in India and will be shot in French and English.

Khedekar is due in Cannes for a five-day red-carpet romp to promote the movie.

“It’s a magical film for all audiences,” Mangola producer France Berthou said.

Word is that Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, who’s house was just taken down in the slums, rejected the flat that was offered to the family. Sometimes there is just no place like home.
