One of our favorite actresses, Camille Mana, from Smart People and One on One has added producer to her resume with her first feature film, The Things We Carry.

The film features two Hapa sisters and a Korean mother as the three primary characters. Camille’s long-time friend Alyssa Lobit who started as an actress, WROTE / STARRED and made this film happen from start to finish along with her SISTER Athena Lobit. Alyssa’s screenplay was a Nicholl Fellowships finalist and is now debuting around the country… including Boston Film Festival, Hollywood Film Festival, and San Diego Asian Film Festival.

Home from backpacking through South East Asia for three years, thrill-seeker Emmie (ALYSSA LOBIT) returns to Los Angeles, after receiving a mysterious letter from Ricky, a companion of her recently-deceased drug-addict mother, Sunny (ALEXIS RHEE). She’s looking for Ricky to retrieve what Sunny left for her and has a single clue in hand: The Best Motel, the dingy den in the San Fernando Valley that Sunny last called home.
