Food For Your Skin
Anti-aging is possible! But shhh… it's a secret. It is inevitable that with age, cellular regeneration begins to slow in all parts of the body, becoming especially noticeable in the face and neck. The wrinkles, age spots, dark under-eye circles and sagginess are common signs of aging in which society tries so diligently to ward off. As a female Chinese Medical practitioner and Cosmetic Acupuncturist, I am always on the look out for products which will help my patients in their fight against the signs of aging. I consistently educate my patients on what Chinese herbs may be beneficial for them -and their wrinkles- to incorporate Eastern healing traditions into their Western lifestyle. Procedures or treatments which help to treat the face do not dispense the need to treat the skin itself. It is imperative to use products which are suitable for ones skin type and to always use products that are NATURAL. Remember that skin is the largest organ of the human body. Everything that you put onto your skin is absorbed by your pores and processed into your body just like food; treat it good by feeding it well!
I like to call this skin food therapy! These following products are a few which can be both taken internally and even applied directly on the skin!

Hello
I am having a problem with thinning hair, what would be good to take for that?
Mattie
Hello Mattie,
According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), thinning hair is related to kidney functioning. Healthy kidneys will therefore lead to healthy hair growth. The most common herb used to treat this condition is known as He Shou Wu or Radix Polygonum Multiforum which helps to improve blood circulation and kidney function. Not only does healthy kidney function affect healthy hair growth, it also prevents graying of hair, improves vision and strengthens lower back. This herb can easily be found in pill form, or in its raw form – which can be made into tea.
An ancient formula which combines seven powerful and “treasured†ingredients to strengthen kidney function and promote hair growth can also be used to treat hair loss. Seven Treasure Pill effectively reverses the causes of hair loss. For more information on this product, please feel free to visit http://www.cheungstrading.com.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
Good health always.
Hello,

She would love to hear from you!
Hi Dr Mable,
I am 28 this year and suffered from thinning of hair. It has been a problem but I took no notice of it until my aunt pointed this out to me that she can see the scalp quite clearly. I realised that I need to do something about it. My question is:
+ Is the hair loss a permanent one and can this be cured?
+ How then can I improve the situation? maybe any medication? I heard of you mentioning he shou wu but i am not clear about chinese medicine.
+ I can feel a burning sensation at my scalp where the thinning is more obvious. What is the cause of this?
+ The burning sensation is especially stronger when I am stressed. Have you heard of that or is this is due to other factor than stress?
+ I am having serious insomnia (unable to sleep every alternate days) and how wll not enough rest affects my thinning of hair?
Please advice. Thank you!

The skin on my face is really uneven, I have dark circles under my eyes, redness on the lower cheeks, and enlarged pores with oily skin. Is there anything I could use on my skin that would be able to even this out?
