Jinu Park is his own Man

It is usually the other way around where, I, the interviewer discover new fresh upcoming Asian entertainers through myspace. However, in this case, Jinu Park is the one who found me.

Jinu discovered his natural born talent while at a karaoke party at the age of 13. He has throughout his years played the cello, joined in orchestra and choir in school and taught himself to play the piano, guitar and bass.

From Seattle, Washington, Jinu brings in his own creative upbeat rhythms into the groove, making the ladies sweat and feel sexy. This single good looking Korean American singer, song writer and producer will leave women wishing that he was their man. With the ladies of all color waiting for more of Jinu’s delicious seductive intrigues in his Park tonight, Jinu is his own man in doing what he loves.

ASIANCE: How is the singing going for you so far? Is it more than you had ever imagined it would be?

JP: Oh yeah, I’ve been singing since I was a kid and finally I’m doing something with it. I’m glad that people are supporting me and radio stations are playing me. Much love to all of them!

ASIANCE: Neema of Unexpected Arrival? How is it that you came to work with Neema? And who is Neema of Unexpected Arrival?

JP: Neema is a friend and an inspiration to me. He is a rapper from Washington and I actually record in the same studio that he does. I actually met him after his album came out which sold over 10,000 copies and loved it. He has Dylan from Da Band, Wingo of Jagged Edge, Kurupt, and Twista on his album called “My Life for Sale”. Look it up it’s one of the best CDs you’ll buy, guaranteed!

ASIANCE: Were you discovered while performing on local Seattle TV shows “Gimme the Mic Season 1” and “Seattle Stars Season 2”? How did you come about with your music exactly?

JP: Actually after the shows I had people recognize who I was but nothing really big. It was a great exposure for me. I just wished more people watched it.

ASIANCE: Be Your Man is one of the hottest hits I’ve heard so far by an Asian artist. What is the inspiration behind your music?

JP: Thank You. It’s just about a guy who wants to be with a girl and expressing what they would have together.

ASIANCE: Be Your Man… Hmmm… Do you have any girl in mind who you would want to cater to and be her man?

JP: Ha ha… Well… I would just say that I would want to cater to any woman that treats me with love, respect, and supports all the things that I do as an artist. 😛

ASIANCE: I’m curious as anyone else who might be as well. Are you currently working on an album right now? If you are, how long until it comes out?

JP: Yes I am, it’s in the works and I’m going to guess around July is when it comes out. I just want to work hard on it, instead of releasing something that people will listen to for a few months and leave it out of their CD players. So far it’s going good and you’ll be surprised with what you’re going to hear!

ASIANCE: Your music is also reaching the UK. How does it feel just to know that some fans are vying for your music?

JP: It’s great! I got contacted by UK’s national station and it’s been doing well there. Each day on my myspace (www.myspace.com/jinupark) I’ll get lots of friend requests from the UK. Hopefully I’ll get to tour there after the album hits.

ASIANCE: If a Korean or any other major Asian record label came up to you to offer you a contract would you sign on with them to gather a more significant audience?

JP: I actually have been offered to sign to a few contracts but I didn’t think as an artist the contract was very fare. If a record label came up to me and offered me a good contract as well as my rights to be an artist (instead of controlling what you do, what you look or should look like, what type of songs, etc.) I probably would.

ASIANCE: Where can people purchase your single?

JP: Actually just right now, you can purchase it on my myspace (www.myspace.com/jinupark) and in person. I didn’t want to put it out to any stores yet because I don’t get to have a one-on-one conversation with my fans. I try to answer any myspace messages and comments. But when the full album hits, you’ll be able to purchase it almost anywhere. You’re just going to have to check my myspace or my website (www.jinupark.com) for more details.

ASIANCE: Thank you Jinu for this interview, I love your songs and I hope that everything turns out in the end.

JP: Thank you for taking the time to let people know who I am as an artist and as a person!

I came across Jinu after this article and what a voice and career this young lyricist and singer has…especially due to the fact of his Asian background, he might just be Japans next big thing and biggest heartthrob! I’m jumping on the Jinu train now!

I actually got to spend time with Jinu recently in Vegas and he is a wonderful and down to earth guy. This article is old but I had to say something. =] I love his music especially “Be Your Man” and the fact that he isn’t stuck up like some of these upcoming artist is a plus. Continue to do well JP, you def have my vote =]

HELLO ALL, I COMMENTED EARLIER AFTER I SIMPLY HEARD A COUPLE OF TRACKS WHEN I WAS IN A WEIRD MOOD AND LIKED THE MUSIC. I MET THIS SHORTY {NO PUN INTENDED} AND HE WAS THE RUDEST MOST COCKIEST PERSON IVE EVER MET IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I WISH I COULD SAY ON THIS WHAT HE DID BUT I WONT STOOP DOWN TO HIS LEVEL. I WOULD BREAK MY BACK TRYING TO SEE EYE TO EYE WITH HIM ANYWAY HAHA. ON SECOND THOUGHT HIS ASIAN BACKGROUND HOPEFULLY WORKS AGAINST HIM [NOTHING AGAINST ASIANS I JUST WANT SOMETHING TO HOLD HIM BACK BECAUSE HE DOESNT DESERVE ANYTHING BUT A SMACK IN THE FACE] IM SURE HIS ATTITUDE AND SQUEAKY LYRICS WILL HOLD HIM BACK ON THEIR OWN. PLEASE BOYCOTT HIS MUSIC, SILLY MYSPACE AND ANNOYING CONCEITED FACEBOOK GROUPS. HE IS ALL ABOUT HIMSELF AND DOESNT EVEN HAVE A WEBSITE BUT THINKS HES THE GREATEST THING; HE MUST BE VERY INSECURE HIDING BEHIND THAT MIC THAT I HEARD HE WANTS TO DO SOMETHING TABOO WITH!! BEST OF LUCK LITTLE BOY AS YOU WILL NEED IT. GROW UP AND SHUT UP BECAUSE WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND YOU JERK AND FROM THE LOOKS OF IT YOU HAVE A LOT OF ENEMIES. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND I WOULD GO TO A DOCTOR TO CHECK OUT THAT CASE OF HERPES YOU HAD ON YOUR LIPS UGLY

I think this guy used to work at my local Albertsons. I remember because I saw some local music show and recognized him. He was pretty rude from what I can remember.

His music is okay. It sounds like he is whining. Its too bad he beats girls like Chris Brown

  • I do not care what other people say because if you do not know him, you should not judge him. He is obviously doing something right if people are looking him up. Not everyone is going to like his music but he is getting his name heard.

<3 U Jinbin! Keep it up and do not let any criticism bring you down!!
