Bus brawl stirs up racial tensions

Tensions between the African-American and Asian-American communities in San Francisco have heightened since a fight between two women, one African American and the other Asian American, broke out on a city bus earlier this month.

The following video of a fight occurred on Oct 7, 2009 at 10am on a Chinatown bus in San Francisco.

New American Media hosted a roundtable discussion on Monday with a diverse coalition of more than 20 city and community leaders to discuss possible solutions to the underlying tensions.

“Chi”, the woman who broke up the fight weighs in

Do you think this fight was even about race or was it just two women having an argument? Are we elevating the situation by making this a race issue? In New York, fights break out all the time, race aside. If it was race related, why would “Chi” break up the fight and clearly protect the African American woman?

Clearly racist comment above. Can an admin remove this?

Wherever I go blacks are always starting something. That’s the problem with this country. Blacks getting too many perks for doing nothing, while other members of different races, who are trying to get ahead and make America great, are getting nothing. All this led by a President who funds the cycle. This is why America is going down.
