China says regrets WTO ruling on US tire tariff
China regrets a World Trade Organization ruling that the United States acted within its rights when it raised import taxes on Chinese tires by as much as 35 percent and will file a complaint, an official was quoted as saying Tuesday.
The unidentified Ministry of Commerce official was quoted by the official Xinhua News Agency as saying that China “is deeply concerned” about the impact on China’s tire industry, and said China will study the WTO report and file a complaint.
Beijing said the tariff was protectionist. It has 60 days to appeal the ruling.
U.S. imports of low-grade Chinese tires rose threefold to about 46 million tires between 2004 and 2008, but fell by about 15 percent in the first half of 2009 — before the new tariff was imposed.

FYI There is technology in pilot stages as we speak that will identify any false dissertations, research papers, etc. Lazy, rich American students will no longer be able to buy their way through Colleges and Post Graduate Programs any longer! They are only hurting themselves by doing this anyway.
I would like to suggest naming this new technology “The Ted Kennedy Confiscation Application”. In honor of preventing frauds like the late Ted Kennedy from attending higher institutions of learning in this country. Congratulations to Harvard for booting his ass out of there and making him reapply after cheating on his Spanish exam! How do you cheat on a college Spanish exam? I can’t even hear, partied in college, hardly studied and never had to cheat on a Spanish exam! Not to mention that the Hispanics refuse to learn English so you just pick it up through osmosis. Am I right? It scares me to know that these guys were “the brains” behind the government in this country.
