What’s all this #CES business about?
There’s been a drip feed of news from technology providers as the industry braces for a rush of major announcements at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Thursday.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Verizon Wireless is expected to show off a range of devices powered by Google’s software for its new 4G network this week, including smartphones made by Samsung, Motorola, HTC and LG and at least one tablet computer at CES.
Verizon has meanwhile dropped the sale price of the Samsung Galaxy Tablet from $600 to $500, giving it a bigger price advantage to even the cheapest iPad with 3G access, costing $630, according to After Dawn.
