HK Arts Festival: Janet Jackson, Eric Clapton
The 39th Hong Kong Arts Festival kicks off and runs through March 27. Event includes performances by the New York City Ballet, Elvis Costello and the Beijing Opera.
On Monday February 14th, The Hong Kong Salsa Festival begins its one week of events, including street dances, competitions and dance workshops. Also on this day, U.S pop star Janet Jackson launches her latest world tour concert, featuring music from her chart-topping album “Number Ones.”
On Friday, February 18th, Birmingham Royal Ballet and Royal Ballet Sinfonia join hands to perform “Hobson’s Choice”, a program of the Hong Kong Arts Festival. The performance runs through Feb. 20. February 18th is also the day Grammy Awards winner Eric Clapton comes to Hong Kong for the performance of his new album, “Clapton,” on his 2011 world tour.
