‘1000 Enterprises Children-in-Need’ fund surpasses S$1m

The Singapore Children’s Society’s “1000 Enterprises for Children-in-Need” fund has surpassed S$1 million in donations since its launch two years ago.

The fund saw a 38 per cent increase in participating businesses in its second year, with 106 new enterprises, bringing the total to 382.

Speaking at an appreciation dinner held by the Society on Thursday evening, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean said that “while Singapore enjoys a robust recovery, let us not forget that there will always be those who need help”. The fund, which aims to get 1000 companies on board, will go towards helping the Society’s 57,000 beneficiaries.

The 1000 Enterprises for Children-in-Need initiative is a fund raising project that hopes to encourage small, medium and large companies to pledge their donation to the Society the next 3 years. In addition, these donating enterprises will adopt Singapore Children’s Society as their official supported charity and embark further on their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR Program).
