Fish Leong: Singer now, actress later, mummy never?
Mandopop singer Fish Leong, dubbed the ‘Queen of Love Songs’ by her fans, may be right at home singing haunting ballads in her albums, but producing an album is a whole different kettle of fish. Leong said she felt like a fish out of water when she personally produced her latest album “What Love Songs Didn’t Tell You”, her very first album since she signed with Universal Music last year.
“I was under tremendous pressure when I produced my latest album. I haven’t really enjoyed myself because there are really a lot of things to deal with. “The pressure is so great that I started to grind my teeth in my sleep,” said Leong with a grimace, during a promotional event for her album on Friday.
“Before, I always slept very soundly but when I was producing this album, I often had nightmares!” Fortunately, her husband Tony Chao, whom she married in a beach wedding on the Filipino island of Boracay last year in February, has been extremely supportive.
