Samsung bites back at Apple with lawsuit
Samsung Electronics said Friday it has filed a lawsuit against Apple alleging patent infringements, days after the US technology firm took the South Korean company to court on similar grounds. Samsung said it filed suit Thursday in a Seoul court alleging five patent infringements by Apple. Separate suits were filed in Tokyo citing two patent infringements and in the German city of Mannheim citing three.
“Samsung is responding actively to the legal action taken against us in order to protect our intellectual property and to ensure our continued innovation and growth in the mobile communications business,” the company said in a statement which gave no details of the alleged infringements. The announcement came a week after Apple filed suit against Samsung in San Francisco claiming that the South Korean giant copied its smartphones and tablet computers.
Apple’s lawsuit says Samsung’s mobile phones and Galaxy Tab imitated the iPhone and the iPad. Samsung vowed at the time to “respond actively”. The Galaxy Tab has been the best-selling rival to the iPad, which has dominated the growing market for the touchscreen devices. Despite their prickly competition in finished products, the two firms have a close business relationship. Apple was Samsung’s second-largest client in 2010 after Japan’s Sony Corp, accounting for four percent of the South Korean firm’s 155 trillion won ($142 billion) annual revenue.

These ridiculous law suits have to stop! If consumers rebelled by refusing to buy their products, they would stop the nonsense! I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of all of these lawsuits going on! YOU are going to be the one PAYING for them in the long run. They push the COSTS off on the CONSUMER in the end.
This Apple-Samsung case is all too common and will be getting out of hand with today’s environment of collaboration, innovation and working together because technology is ahead of the law and always has been! Beware of letting go of your business plans and/or ideas to any entities without realizing that you are at tremendous risk of giving them away for free. Any person and/or entity with adequate resources can easily take what you have literally given away and replicate it with minor changes and legally get away with stealing your business plans/ideas. Don’t be fooled into thinking that there is an easy path to success and that people want to give you something for nothing. In the words of Bruce Springsteen, “Everybody’s got a hungy heart”. That said, there are some good natured people out there who do want to help, but they are very few and hard to find. I thought I found one or two and even I was fooled! They smiled at me sweetly and lovingly and then out of nowhere threw me under a bus! And believe me, I paid dearly for it in more ways than one! I just don’t want to see the same thing happen to other dedicated and hard working people. Be very careful is all that I am saying!
Hungry heart – Bruce Springsteen I love you Bruce! XOXO
