The woman solely responsible of bringing the Asian feminine sexy and energetic vibe at World’s No1 Club “SPACE IBIZA” is not only a renowned Dj in her native Thailand but also worldwide brand ambassador of industry’s acclaimed Artist gear “ALLEN & HEATH” & “BEATS PRO BY DR DRE”.
Her mixing, style and sensibility for the music she plays has been recognized and commented on by some of house music heavyweights like Todd Terry (In House), Sandy Rivera (Kings of Tomorrow), Miguel Migs (Salted Music), Sebastian Gamboa (Pacha), Igor Marijuan (Ibiza Sonica), Nick Bridges (Bodyrox) and Kiko Navarro (King Street Records).

She arrived at world’s clubbing capital in 2007 and never left. Her continuously development with just a couple of turntables, sexy vinyl and her charismatic personality gave what she was expected, been regularly invited to perform at @SpaceIbiza (World’s Best Club by industry leading publication DjMag), other Ibiza iconic events like BBC Radio 1, local radios and boat fiestas. Not surprise that many in the business billed her as Ibiza’s 1st and Top Asian Female DJ.

Celeste has been playing from Bangkok to Ibiza, Munich, Barcelona, Taipei, Bali, Tokyo, Singapore, Manama, Kaliningrad, Lagos, Hanoi, Jakarta, Berlin, Santo Domingo and other party spots around the world, always rocking main rooms, djing at outdoor festival to thousands of people, or shaking exclusive underground clubs with her personal array of stylish Soulful Funky Electro House, which is what best fits her character and showed what women does at the forefront of electronic music.

Celeste’s is very deep influenced by the Balearic and Iberian dance industry, her sound is best described as a combination of sexy music, a very personal style and rich in a wide musical background, which is regarded as the key to her success.

International brands put an eye on Celeste and invited her to play for MOTO GP, BLACKBERRY, TV5, SMART, PHILLIP MORRIS, DUCATI and others.

She’s also immersed in a new adventure composing the soundtrack of the documentary “How I Became and Elephant” which is part of the grand finale at Sundance Film Festival, the top reference of the documentary film industry, making her the first female Dj who creates the sound of a movie.

ASIANCE: How did you get into Djing?

DJ Celeste Siam: I have love music since I was very young. I found that I can’t live and work without music.

I use to play piano but it’s quite difficult to be the best musician so I tried to play turntables and instantly fell in love with it from my first mix.

ASIANCE: Hottest song/mix right now?

DJ Celeste Siam: Dimitri from Paris remix “Motivation”. Every time I play this track, I feel like I’m in the middle of a sweet magic musical storm and the audience can’t stop ‘grooving’

ASIANCE: Describe the difference between Asian clubs/European clubs and American clubs?

DJ Celeste Siam: I feel the most updated clubs, music, shows, dance, PR and clubbing culture is in EU. Places like Ibiza, London, Barcelona, Zurich, Amsterdam…etc are places you must go once in your lifetime and burn your dancing shoes!

Asia is growing pretty fast and developing at a tremendous artistic and lucrative way with loads of opportunities and dozens of new festivals per year. Many quality fiestas are happening here. You can enjoy trendy clubs in Singapore, Tokyo, Taipei, Bangkok, Manilla, Jakarta, even in Phnom Penh or Saigon.

I never played in the USA but I’m going to WMC this year and I expect to not be disappointed.

ASIANCE: Where would you love to DJ in the States?

DJ Celeste Siam: WMC and Ultra Music festival in Miami, el Cielo in New York, and of course Soulful House music hometown San Francisco.

ASIANCE: Any other Asian girl DJ’s we should look out for or you would like to mention?

DJ Celeste Siam: I like Japanese DJ “Yummy” I saw her in Ibiza last year, skillful and sexy.

ASIANCE: What do you think of the most famous Asian DJ Steve Aoki?

DJ Celeste Siam: I’m proud to see Asian be on top in any industry. He is cool and always twists the genres with his particular understanding….for me a true pioneer and personal reference.

ASIANCE: Who else?

DJ Celeste Siam: Another Thai male Dj who lives in the USA named “Jask Thaisoul”. He plays soulful house. He performed many shows with Miguel Migs, Little Louis Vega, Lisa Shaw…etc. He also produced many beautiful soulful tracks and remixed the above.

ASIANCE: How do you handle all the men/women hitting on you?

DJ Celeste Siam: I’m very thankful for the love they show and try to be friendly but if they go a bit further I will simply let my manager deal with if needed 🙂

ASIANCE: How did you get into Ibiza?

DJ Celeste Siam: In 2006, I met a promoter from Ibiza in Bangkok. We did some event together and brought Ibiza dj’s to Thailand. Then in 2007, I was endorsed by a Japanese clothing brand which sponsored me to go to Ibiza and catch my dream. Ever since then, I went there every summer and gradually got into the clubbing circuits. I don’t think to leave any time soon 🙂

DJ Celeste Siam: First, you must truly love music. Second, do a lot of homework, music research and practice. Third, it’s not easy but is not too difficult either, you just believe and DO it 🙂

DJ Celeste Siam: Charity auctions, Event planning and Freelance modeling

ASIANCE: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10 years?

DJ Celeste Siam: In 5 years, I see myself as one of the best female producers and in 10 years, I see myself as a big concert promoter, as a lovely big mama with beautiful and musical kids 🙂
