Man’s best friend. Poor guy!

The dog of fallen Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson refused to leave his owner’s casket during his funeral.

Tumilson’s cousin Lisa Pembleton snapped a photo of the loyal pup, named Hawkeye, resting at the foot of Tumilson’s casket at the Rockford, Iowa ceremony, San Diego’s KPBS reported.

Tumilson, 35, was killed on Aug. 6 in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan that claimed the lives of 29 other Americans.

The funeral, held last Friday, was attended by an estimated 1,500 mourners.

I’m surprised media was allowed to show the casket draped with the American flag!
