Nanette Lepore’s Neon Brights

For Nanette Lepore Spring 2012 was all about neon brights from head to toe – makeup to shoes, reminiscent of Stephen Sprouse’s revival of neon in the 80s. Taking cues from a set of highlighter pens, she chose yellow, lime, hot pink, turquoise and orange and grounded them with splashes of cobalt. While too much neon can be jarring, her cute sundresses, box pleat skirts, colorful stripes, and party frocks will brighten even the gloomiest of days.
